The Russian government is pursuing an import substitution policy in order to modernise the domestic agricultural and food industries. The aim is for Russia to be largely self-sufficient in all agricultural products and processed foods. Moreover, the Russian government is striving for the Russian agricultural sector to become one of the world's largest exporters of agricultural products and a global player in the international agricultural trade.
Against this background, experts from science and industry will report on the opportunities and challenges of exporting pork to Russia and China at this year's EuroTier expert forum.
