Volodymyr Metelytsia has been a research associate at IAMO since June 2023. In 2008, he did his PhD in economics at the National Agrarian University in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2012, he achieved the academic title of senior researcher. In 2016, he defended his thesis and received the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences at the Institute of Agrarian Economics in Kiev. During 2008-2018, he functioned as deputy director and head of the Institute of Accounting and Finance in Kyiv. In this period, he also held the positions from junior to leading researcher at the Institute of Agrarian Economics. In 2018, he founded the Center of Professional Accountants. During 2019-2023, he worked in Ukraine as a professor at the National Agroecological University of Zhytomyr, the National Agrarian University of Vinnytsia and the State Tax University in Irpin.

Metelytsia also authored more than 150 scientific and practical publications. He received the award of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy. Furthermore, he is certified by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
