A few days ago, productive discussions between IAMO scientists and state representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place during the International Green Week 2018 in Berlin, Germany. The talks focused on the expansion of bilateral research cooperation. The IAMO delegation led by Director Thomas Glauben met Seyfaddin Talibov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan S.E. Ramin Hasanov. The Deputy Minister confirmed his participation in the opening of the SARICCA conference that takes place from 6 - 7 September 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Furthermore, a stronger cooperation in the field of agricultural education, especially with the State Agrarian University was decided. Other participants of the talks were Professor Ulrich Koester, Emin Teymurov, 2nd Secretary of the Embassy, and IAMO scientists Ihtiyor Bobojonov and Lena Kuhn.
