Ruth Njiru joined IAMO in May 2021 as a Phd student in the department of Structural Change working on impacts of strategic behavior on land market dynamics and regulation effects as part of the FORLand project. After her Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, she completed her Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics at Egerton University, Kenya, under the Collaborative Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics (CMAAE) programme, specialising in agricultural policy and trade. She worked as a part-time lecturer in Agribusiness Management and as a researcher in building business cases for the Quality Based Milk Payment System (QBMPS) in Kenya.
