The aim of this project is to analyze options of regional integration in Caucasus and Central Asian countries and explore investment and business opportunities for European companies. The project consists of the organization of a conference in Baku city of Azerbaijan and the invitation of visiting researchers from Caucasus and Central Asia to IAMO.
Researchers, representatives of ministries as well as local and German companies involved in agricultural supply chains and trade will be invited to the conference for multidisciplinary and cross-sectorial discussions. Three visiting fellows financed by DAAD will visit for a research stay at IAMO. These visiting researchers will work on various topics related to regional integration, trade and investment in the agri-food sector in these countries.
