The main objective of the project is to connect with researchers from diaspora engaged in respectable research institutions of the same scientific field - agricultural economics. The specific objective of the FES project team (Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad) is networking in order to transfer knowledge from respectable EU scientific institutions, which focus on the agri-food sector in transition economies. In addition, the purpose of the project is to involve experts from the diaspora in the issues of current research in the agri-food sector of Serbia. As the competitiveness of Serbian agriculture is one of the most significant issues in the EU accession process, the aim of the research is a competent analysis of the position of agriculture in the international, as well as the European, agri-food market.
The added value of the project is the synergistic effect of the assembled team of competent researchers from FES and IAMO, which will enable both the strengthening of the professional capacity of the project team and its training for further research and project activities, as well as benefits for the wider social community.
