Meeting the challenges of sustainable development requires an interdisciplinary approach that combines knowledge from various disciplines. This requires advancement in topical competencies among lecturers and further cooperation with foreign universities in professional and methodical training. The project aims at contributing to ongoing restructuring in a partner university Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers in Uzbekistan, namely to its post-graduate research and teaching programme. Within the lab, an IAMO researcher works on the capacity development of TIIAME lecturers and researchers by organizing a series of training modules online and in Uzbekistan. The actions within the project aim at modernizing educational standards and stimulating lecturers to develop their teaching skills and methods.

The project’s objective is to improve teaching and learning practices within the TIIAME and by doing so improve both, the labor market relevance and the learning environment of the institute. For this purpose, an innovative interdisciplinary laboratory of agrarian innovations and resources will be created and equipped (Agricultural innovations and resources lab).
