Scientific delegation from Mongolia visiting IAMO

On Monday, 15 January 2018, a delegation of the German-Mongolian cooperation project "Sustainable Agriculture", including project leader Dr. Ing. Alfred Kather, has been visiting the institute.

The aim of the meeting was to present current IAMO projects with special focus on the agricultural development in Mongolia and to explore the possibilities of future cooperation with the Mongolian guests. During this meeting, the topics of climate change, sustainable grazing and land use, agricultural trade as well as the development of innovative agricultural insurance products, proved to be of particular interest.

Members of the delegation were Prof. Dr. Ing. Gombo Gantulga (Vice-Rector of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences / formerly Mongolian University of Agricultural Sciences), Dr. Ing. Nyamgerel Bartseren (lecturer of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences), Khatantuul Enkhbold (project assistant and interpreter of the project) and Marie Künstling as representative of the IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, which implements the project on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Mongolia. On behalf of IAMO, Prof. Dr. Ing. Thomas Glauben, Dr. Ihtiyor Bobojonov, Dr. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk, Dr. Nodir Djanibekov, Dr. Florian Shierhorn as well as the research assistant of the institute Marianne Müller-Albinsky have been joining the meeting.
