Online summer school on innovation processes for students from the Huazhong Agricultural University in China

IAMO scientists gave a week-long seminar on theories and concepts of agricultural innovation and innovation processes.

From 23 to 27 August, IAMO researchers Frans Hermans and Nodir Djanibekov, with the support of IAMO PhD student Lanjiao Wen, provided a one week course to students of the Land Management and Public Administration College of the Huazhong Agricultural University, China. The aim of the course was to improve the capacity of the students to analyze innovation processes, propose solutions to remedy failures in sustainability, and explore alternatives to unsustainable pathways. In total, 24 students and researchers from the Huazhong Agricultural University attended the course and could learn theories and modes of thinking related to agricultural innovations and innovation processes from systemic and economic perspectives.
