IAMO researchers Dr. Linde Götz and Dr. Judith Möllers belong to European leading women scientists

AcademiaNet is a database of profiles of excellent European female researchers from all disciplines. Nominated for the portal by the Leibniz Association the IAMO researchers Dr. Linde Götz and Dr. Judith Möllers were appointed as members of the network.

AcademiaNet was established in 2010 by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with Spektrum der Wissenschaft and is supported by many respected partners from academia and the business community. By providing numerous profiles of excellent women academics, AcademiaNet is making them more visible and more easily accessible to fill leadership positions and scientific bodies. Other target groups include journalists and conference organisers searching for proven experts. Recently the Leibniz Association, a partner of AcademiaNet, has successfully proposed IAMO researchers Dr. Linde Götz and Dr. Judith Möllers for inclusion in the portal.

Since 22 May 2017 Dr. Linde Götz is part of AcademiaNet. The agricultural economist is Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural Markets at IAMO. A emphasis of her research lies on the development of the agricultural and food industry of Russia and its implications for global food security and the food sector of Germany. At IAMO she is currently heading the project "STARLAP – Analysis of the strategy of the Russian Federation for the expansion of agricultural production" and works in the framework of the Horizon 2020 project "VALUMICS – Understanding food value chains and network dynamics".

Dr. Judith Möllers was asigned to AcademiaNet on 19 July 2017. At IAMO she is a senior researcher in the Department of External Environment for Agriculture and Policy Analysis. The focus of her work is on migration and poverty research, agricultural diversification and structural change as well as changes in rural living conditions in South-Eastern European countries. She is currently analyzing the effects of migration on agriculture and rural living conditions in Kosovo and in Albania. Together with IAMO Director Thomas Herzfeld, Möllers presented the results of the project "Study on rural migration in Kosovo" on 29 May 2017 in Prishtina, Kosovo to representatives from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the Kosovar Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Internal Affairs.
