IAMO, jointly with IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) to coordinate the project 'German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue’ starting from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2015. The project seeks to support Ukrainian decision-makers with demand-oriented policy advice in the fields of agricultural policy reform and agricultural legislation. Herein, focal topics are e.g. agricultural economy and trade, land market reform, product and quality standards, rural development as well as education and training. IAMO, in its capacity as an agricultural economics research institute which is primarily focused on transition processes and development deficits in agrifood sector as well as rural areas in Central and Eastern Europe will make an important contribution towards implementing this project which is lead-managed by IAK.
