On 18th December IAMO researcher Dr. Insa Theesfeld successfully completed her habilitation process with a scientific presentation titeled "From Land Grabbing to Water Grabbing - the Hidden Risk" at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU). Following the meeting of the Faculty Council she was awarded her postdoctoral certification by Prof. Dr. Dr. s.c. Ellmer, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture at the HU. Theesfeld holds now the qualification for teaching "Resource Economics“. She wrote her postdoctoral thesis on "Power and Leadership in Natural Resource Management - Institutional Analysis of Water Governance".
