The boxes are filled with age-appropriate toys for children up to three years as well as for children from four to eight years. The mobile play boxes can be borrowed free of charge by the Visitor Services. And when the kid pushes the cars over the play carpet or looks at a picture book, mom or dad can concentrate on their work. In addition to the mobile play boxes, a parent-child office is available at IAMO. Here IAMO employees find not only a desk, but also a baby bed and various toys. A wheelchair and buggy accessible toilet with diaper-changing table can be found in the entrance area of the IAMO building.
IAMO actively implements the equal opportunities concept and endeavors to safeguard and promote the reconciliation of one’s work and family life. In 2016, the institute has received the TOTAL E-QUALITY award for gender equality for the second time and since October 2016 IAMO is member of the Germany-wide "Success Factor Family" network. Can I bring my kids?
The daycare canceled on a short-term notice? The kindergarten is closed on a bridging day? There are many reasons why parents sometimes have to bring their kids into the workplace. In order to make such days more enjoyable for parents and children, two mobile play boxes are available at IAMO since April.
