DAAD-Alumni Summer School at IAMO

From 12 to 16 September international alumni of IAMO and the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) attend the summer school "Legal and Economic Challenges for Sustainable Food Security in the 21st Century". They discuss agro-economical, legal and human rights issues in context of food security.

IAMO hosted the present day of this event. The speakers were Ekaterina Krivonos, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, and IAMO scientist Daniel Müller. Ekaterina Krivonos spoke on the topic “Food Security and Nutrition: What is the Role of Markets and Trade Policy?” and Daniel Müller's topic was “How to Feed the World in 2050?”. Organiser of the Alumni Summer School is the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences at the MLU. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides financial support.
