IAMO and the Samarkand Agricultural Institute organized the event, which served as preparation for field studies in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The AGRICHANGE Summer School program included several seminar work at the Samarkand Agricultural Institute and excursions to various irrigation zones, including Samarkand and Bukhara.

As part of the research project AGRICHANGE “Institutional Change in Land and Labour Relations of Central Asia’s Irrigated Agriculture”, twelve scientists took part in a summer school in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from 15 to 22 August.
