Data survey conducted on the use of digital technologies in Chinese agriculture
In August 2023, a data collection was conducted in the Chinese province of Hubei as part of the DITAC project. The focus was to gain insights into the use of digital technologies in China's agriculture.

During the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) conference held in Rennes, France, from 29 August - 01 September 2023, IAMO PhD student Laura Moritz received the Best Poster Award for her poster presentation about the project KlimAlez.

On 14 July, IAMO and the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen future cooperation.

The first event of the "Halle Academic Quartet" took place within the IAMO Forum 2023. Prof. Glauben (IAMO), Prof. Gropp (IWH), Prof. Pies, Prof. Varwick (University of Halle) and the guest Dr. Rudolf Adam (former BND Vice President) discussed economic and security politics in the present time.
IAMO successfully evaluated
The Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) has been successfully evaluated. After completion of the regular scientific evaluation, the Senate of the Leibniz Association recommends the continuation of funding.
