The course brought together a total of 19 participants from Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia to gain fundamental knowledge in the analysis and visualization of geospatial data. The course was conducted by Bexhet Islamaj, IT and GIS expert, Olsid Mema, lecturer at the Agricultural University of Tirana, and Max Hofmann, research associate at IAMO.
The GEO-WB6 project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and aims to improve the continuing education and scientific exchange of university and government employees from the six Western Balkan countries in the field of geospatial data analysis. By the end of 2025, IAMO and the Agricultural University of Tirana will host seven more training courses.
