Over the next three years, IAMO will be conducting research in rural Serbia and Kosovo. The focus will be on the question of migrant resources and activities, which will be studied in terms of the impact they have in rural communities in the origin countries of the migrants. In addition to the questions being addressed at IAMO by Dr. Judith Möllers (team leader), Janine Läpple, and Dr. Tom Dufhues, the project also has a historical and a social anthropological component, on which the partners of the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in Regensburg and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) are working.
