Organized as part of the UzFarmBarometer project, a collaboration between IAMO and WIUT’s Center for Policy Research and Outreach (CPRO), the spring school built on the foundations that had been established during the autumn school held on 7 to 11 October 2024. This follow-up module covered advanced topics including discrete choice models and impact evaluation methods, with participants engaging in hands-on exercises using Stata.
The course was led by IAMO scientists Nodir Djanibekov and Abdusame Tadjiev and brought together a group of PhD students and researchers from Uzbekistan. Through group work and guided data exercises, participants applied econometric methods to farm survey datasets, enhancing their skills in data analysis, interpretation, and policy-oriented research.
The spring school is part of IAMO’s broader efforts within its Central Asia International Research Group to strengthen analytical competences and contribute to evidence-based agricultural policy in the region. UzFarmBarometer project is a collaborative German-Uzbek initiative co-funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) of Germany and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
