On March 6, as first institution of a Leibniz Institute, the IAMO Graduate School became full member of the International Graduate Academy (InGrA) of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). InGrA stands for best conditions when doing a Ph.D .: it supports students up to the successful completion of a doctoral thesis and entrance into a professional career and offers a disciplinary and trans-disciplinary qualification program. Gesine Foljanty-Jost, Executive Director of InGrA and Prorector of the MLU, Executive Manager Klaus-Peter Meinicke as well as other members of the directorate welcomed the new full member. Martin Petrick, speaker of the IAMO Graduate School, is delighted about the new opportunity to stronger cooperate and network with the university. The IAMO Graduate School offers a structured training programme for all IAMO Ph.D. students in agricultural and food economics. At the moment 28 young researchers are working on their thesis at IAMO.
