The course is aimed at students, doctoral students, lecturers, researchers and public administration staff with a background in agriculture or related disciplines working in the Western Balkans and interested in GIS and spatial data analysis. This course will give an introduction to working with the software R and R Studio and put emphasis on visualizing geodata, performing and automizing spatial data analysis, interpolation techniques, and creating interactive maps.
Participation in the course is free of charge. The course will take place on the campus of the Agricultural University of Tirana in Koder-Kamez. Participants traveling to Albania from one of the other Western Balkan countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) will be granted a scholarship of 250 Euros to cover a part of their travel and accommodation costs.
