The course is aimed at students, doctoral researchers, lecturers, researchers and public administration staff with a background in agriculture or related disciplines working in the Western Balkans and interested in GIS and spatial data analysis. No special prior knowledge is required.
During the course, participants will gain extensive knowledge of spatial data analysis and learn the most common functions for processing raster and vector data. The course also focuses on the automation of analytic workflows. Practical exercises will offer a variety of opportunities to consolidate what has been learned, to design own analysis procedures and to discuss methods and results in the group.
The course will take place on the campus of the Agricultural University of Tirana in Koder-Kamez. Participation in the course is free of charge. Participants traveling to Albania from one of the other Western Balkan countries will be granted a scholarship of 250 euros to cover a part of their travel and accommodation costs.
Interested individuals are invited to apply by 2 September 2024 with a CV and letter of motivation at info(at)geo-wb6.net.
