The program features presentations and discussions of the German and European research landscape related to rural development, the Ninth Research Framework of the European Union (Horizon Europe), and funding acquisition and management of international collaborative projects.
Besides external speakers, participants are invited to share their experiences or report on recent developments in the research landscape of their countries. One excursion to research facilities and institutes in Central Germany will complement the programme. Furthermore, networking between alumni should be strengthened. Researchers from Europe and Asia's formerly centrally planned economies are particularly encouraged to apply.
