Bioeconomy Conference

The 4th International Bioeconomy Conference will be held from 7th - 8th May 2015 at the IAMO in Halle (Saale), Germany. For the first time the event will be jointly organized by the ScienceCampus Halle - Plant-Based Bioeconomy (WCH), which had launched the conference in 2012, and the Leading-Edge-Cluster Bioeconomy.

Special attention on the International Bioeconomy Conference this year will be put on the bioeconomic developments in the UK. Furthermore, the conference in four sessions represents new issues and insights: On day 1, the path of the plant "From field to industry" (session 1) and "Socio-economic approaches for the bioeconomy" (session 2) are in focus. The second day is starting with a plenary lecture on "Biodiversity and the Nagoya Protocol". It's going on with "High Quality products from plants" (session 3) and the big question: "Refining of Biomass or Biorefinery?" (session 4). Due to the International Bioeconomy Conference, the attractiveness and the national and international visibility of the region Saxony-Anhalt as a leading demonstrator region of the bioeconomy in Germany will be strengthened.

Participation is free of charge but requires registration. Please find the current overview of the speakers and further information about the conference at the following webpage: www.bioeconomy-conference.de.
