Impact of climate change on agriculture
Dr. Liangzhi You joined IAMO as Visiting Research Fellow in June 2016. He is a senior scientist at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington DC, USA, and a distinguished professor in Central China Agricultural University. He received his PhD in environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins University. His research focus is on assessing the impacts of technology changes in agricultural production, with particular emphasis on developing better models to estimate the location and intensity of agricultural production, and to estimate the impact of climate change and changing climate variability on agriculture. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles. At IAMO he will be mainly collaborating with IAMO researchers, such as PD Dr. Daniel Müller, Dr. Zhanli Sun, Fang Yin, on China related research.
