Personal details

Dr. Axel Wolz joined the Agricultural Policy Department of IAMO as a senior research associate in October 2001. He studied agricultural sciences with a specialization on economics and sociology in Bonn. His major research activities focus on the transformation of agricultural production cooperatives in the post-socialist economies since regime change, as well as on the EU-funded project AGRICISTRADE. Among other projects, Mr. Wolz has collaborated on projects investigating the role of agroholdings in Russia and the impact of demographic change on agricultural production in the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt (Germany). During his time at IAMO, Dr. Axel Wolz was seconded to the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL, Div. 623) from January 2009 to the end of May 2010.
