Arbnora Shala joined IAMO in March 2023 as a doctoral researcher within the RuWell project in the Department of Agricultural Policy. During her studies she worked in various international projects. In 2021 she was involved in projects at Agricultural Research Institute in Budapest, Hungary as data analyst in the Sectoral Economics Research Department. Arbnora holds a Master degree in Rural Development and Agribusiness from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Hungary.
At IAMO she investigates the main drivers of rural (im)mobility decisions by using a Multidimensional Well-being Index (MWI), developed by the RuWell team. Her research focuses on rural areas in Southeast Europe. Particular attention will be paid to the role of place attachment in people's (im)mobility decisions and well-being specifics.
