Prof. Dr. Yanjun Ren is a Professor at College of Economics and Management in Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), China, as well as a senior researcher in the Department Agricultural Markets at IAMO. Before he joined IAMO in February 2019, he studied agricultural economics at the Northwest A&F University, China, and the Christian-Albrechts-Universität, Germany. From 2012 to 2019, he was employed as a research assistant and research associate at the Chair of Agricultural Market Analysis (Prof. Dr. Jens-Peter Loy) at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität, Germany. His doctoral thesis focused on Food Consumption, Income Inequality, and Health-related Issues in China. Dr. Yanjun Ren’s research interests include food chains, consumer behavior, and applied econometrics. He is also a member of the China International Research Group at IAMO.
