Daniela Peña Guerrero joined the department of Structural Change at IAMO in January 2019 as a PhD student. She received her Master’s degree in Natural Resources Management and Development from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Mexico. During her Master’s she assessed the drought impacts on water for agricultural requirements in the semiarid Central Chile within the framework of the EDUNEXUS project “Education and Research related to the Water-Energy-Food-Security Nexus at River Basin Scale”. At IAMO she is part of the project SUSADICA “Sustainable Agricultural Development in Central Asia” and member of the IAMO Land Systems Group. Her PhD dissertation is on the topic “Impacts of climate change on agricultural production in Central Asia”.
