Personal details

Laura Moritz joined the Department Agricultural Markets as a PhD student in April 2018. She graduated in Business and Anglophone Studies (B.A.) and Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In her master thesis, which was supervised by the World Bank and the German Development Institute (GDI), she focused on “Diet Quality Away from Home – Health Inequalities in Peru”. During her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of International Economics of Prof. Clausen (University of Duisburg-Essen) and at the GDI. She also completed internships at the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Embassy in South Africa and the GDI. She is now involved in the project KlimALEZ at IAMO and is writing her dissertation in this context.
