Since 1978 Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Ulrich Koester is university professor of agricultural economics at Kiel University. Before and during this time he taught and conducted research at several universities in Germany and abroad. Among others, he provided comprehensive consultation services for more than 20 years for the Scientific Advisory Board at the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, as well as for specific tasks at the European Commission, at ECA, World Bank, OECD and FAO.
