Barchynai Kimsanova joined IAMO as a PhD student within the SUSADICA project of the Agricultural Policy Department in June 2019. In 2011 she obtained her MSc in Economics from the Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She received her PhD in Economics from Ankara University, Turkey in 2016. She wrote her PhD thesis about the impacts of government policies on economies under liquidity constraint. She is a visiting lecturer at OSCE-Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. At IAMO she works under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thomas Herzfeld.
