Dr. Barchynai Kimsanova has been a Research Associate in the Department of Agricultural Policy since 2024. She joined IAMO in 2019 as a PhD candidate in the SUSADICA project, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, and earned her PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, in 2024. Previously, she was a lecturer at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and a visiting lecturer at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 2016 to 2019. Dr. Kimsanova also holds a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Political Science at Ankara University, Turkey, completed in 2016.
