Dr. Taras Gagalyuk joined IAMO as a Research Associate in August 2015. He studied agricultural economics at the National Agricultural University of Ukraine in Kyiv where he got his Master of Arts in Accounting and Audit in 2004. In 2011, he did his PhD in agricultural economics at IAMO and Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. Afterwards he worked as Head of the analytical department at the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (Kyiv, Ukraine), as Long-term Expert of the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (Kyiv, Ukraine) and as Topic Analyst at the World Bank (Washington, D.C.). His research focuses on entrepreneurial strategies and organization of agroholdings with a regional focus on Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
