Dr. Ivan Duric joined IAMO in October 2008 as a junior researcher in the Department Agricultural Markets. He wrote his PhD thesis about the impact of policy measures on the wheat-to-bread supply chain during the global commodity price peaks (the case of Serbia). For his PhD research, he was honoured with the highest grade (summa cum laude) by the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Agriculture, Germany. As a senior researcher, Duric continues his research on the topics of digitalisation processes in agriculture and food value chains, application of artificial intelligence (mainly machine learning) in agricultural economics, blockchain technology adoption in agriculture and food industry, price transmission, and issues related to the global agricultural trade policies.
