Dr. Stephan Brosig joined IAMO as a researcher in 1998. He studied agricultural sciences at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany, where he then became a PhD student and research assistant to the Chair of Agricultural Market Analysis under Prof. Dr. Stefan Tangermann. His dissertation focuses on food consumption in Poland and the Czech Republic during transition. Dr. Stephan Brosig’s research at IAMO addresses rural livelihoods and hence topics such as nutrition, health, education and material welfare. He is particularly interested in rural China and is member of the China International Research Group at IAMO.
