In January 2022, Anne-Kathrin Bernsdorf joined IAMO as head of the library. After qualifying as a bookseller, she studied Intercultural Communication of Scientific Knowledge at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and was then employed at the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig. From 2014-2019 she worked in the library of the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg in Halle (Saale) and studied Library and Information Science part-time at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin in 2016-2018. In the last two years, she worked at the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Halle, first in the IT department in a project on the digitalisation of historical daily newspapers with a focus on text recognition of gothic fonts, then as a subject librarian for English studies and computer science.
