Brian Beadle joined the Department Structural Change as a doctoral researcher in March, 2018. Prior to joining IAMO, he earned his M.Sc. in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, with specializations in Environmental Change and Policy and Globalization and Multi-Level Policy, and completed a B.Sc. with a double major in Economics and Business Administration in his home state of Wisconsin, USA. His main research focus at IAMO involves quantitative measurements of agricultural sustainability through the use of composite indicators and latent variable models. Outside of his work at IAMO, he is an active member in the N2 and Leibniz survey working groups to develop, execute, and analyze surveys conducted on the living and working conditions of doctoral researchers throughout Germany.
