Lucia Batereanu joined IAMO in February 2021 as a researcher in the Department of Agricultural Policy. Her research focuses on analyzing the impact assessment of agricultural policies on farm competitiveness in Moldova. Before joining the IAMO, Lucia Batereanu worked as a Marketing Assistant at Fruit Producers and Exporters Association “Moldova Fruct,” where she coordinated activities within the UNDP project and was responsible for the implementation of activities within other international projects financed by USAID and the World Bank. She studied agricultural economics at the State Agrarian University of Moldova. During her bachelor's degree, she studied for one semester at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria, within the Erasmus+ program. During her master's degree, she studied for one semester at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (Austria), within the same program.
