Sarvarbek Eltazarov joined IAMO in April 2018 as a PhD Student in the department Agricultural Markets. In 2016 he obtained a MSc double degree in Environmental Science from the Wageningen University (Netherlands) and Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (Uzbekistan) where he majored Environmental System Analysis and Geographic Information Systems. Before joining IAMO he worked as a Remote Sensing and GIS Specialist / Project Manager Assistant at the International Water Management Institute (Central Asia Office). Moreover, he was involved in various capacity building activities in Central Asia, organized and funded by EU, GIZ, USAID, German-Kazakh University, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration as a moderator and trainer. At IAMO he is working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thomas Glauben and Dr. Ihtiyor Bobojonov within the frame of the project KlimALEZ.
