Leibniz Research Networks
Since its foundation in 1994, IAMO has been a member of the Leibniz Association as an extra-mural research institution. Various Leibniz institutes have formed Leibniz Research Networks in order to analyze current scientific and relevant societal problems in an inter- and trans-disciplinary manner.

Leibniz ScienceCampus
The Leibniz ScienceCampus model is the Leibniz Association's answer to the often lamented parallel existence of university and non-university research ("pillarisation") in the German research system. Leibniz ScienceCampi promote cooperation on an equal footing between Leibniz institutions and universities in the form of thematically-focused, complementary regional partnerships. Leibniz ScienceCampus Halle - Plant-Based Bioeconomy (WCH)
The plant-based bioeconomy is one of the key industries of the 21st century to secure the future provision of food, feed and renewable resources, and to overcome the dependence on fossil fuels. The ScienceCampus Halle - plant-based bioeconomy (WCH) unites leading experts in the field of plant science, agricultural, economic and social sciences in order to meet these social challenges of our time.
Leibniz ScienceCampus "Eastern Europe – Global Area" (EEGA)
The Leibniz ScienceCampus "Eastern Europe – Global Area" (EEGA) is committed to developing new research perspectives on Eastern Europe, engaging in knowledge exchange activities on the region with stakeholders, and promoting young researchers. Together with partners from Eastern Europe, the EEGA LeibnizCampus will examine the global linkages of Eastern Europe generated by migration, economic ties, cultural exchanges and political integration processes.
