Beyond Borders Conference: Registration until 4 October 2024

From 15 to 16 October 2024, the conference “Beyond Borders: Central Asia in the Face of Climate Change, Water Scarcity, and Migration Challenges” will take place at the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), Uzbekistan. Registration is open until 4 October 2024.

IAMO researchers receive honorary titles from Ukrainian university

In September 2024, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP) awarded IAMO director Alfons Balmann the title of honorary doctor, whilst IAMO researcher Oleksandr Perekhozhuk received the distinction of honorary professor.

The Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) analyses economic, social and political processes of change in the agricultural and food sector, and in rural areas. The geographic focus covers the enlarging EU, transition regions of Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, as well as Central and Eastern Asia.
