Bio meets Economy – Science meets Industry
19 March 2014 - ScienceCampus Halle - plant-based bioeconomy (WCH) hosts the International Bioeonomy Conference
"Bio meets Economy – Science meets Industry" is the slogan of the International Bioeonomy Conference, hosted by the 2012 founded ScienceCampus Halle - plant-based bioeconomy (WCH) on May, 22nd and 23rd. The conference will take place at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Halle (Saale). IAMO, as a founding member of the WCH, is involved in the conference, too. Two IAMO researchers present their work at the conference: Dr. Irina Dolgopolova gives a talk on "Secondary substances in cereals as quality attribute: Analysis of potential health-enhancing effects and consumers willingness to pay" and Denitsa Angelova, together with Sven Grüner from the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, presents "Bioeconomic innovations and regulatory impact analysis". Prof. Dr. Alfons Balmann, Director at IAMO, chairs the session "The sustainable triangle of plantbased bioeconomy – Risks and challenges".
