Representatives of insurance companies, policy-makers and scientists working on risk management and agricultural insurance from Germany and Central Asia engaged in lively discussions on potential cooperation between Central Asian insurance and German reinsurance companies, as well as the role of science as a mediator. Participants from Central Asia indicated high demand for advising policy makers on innovations in insurance sector and proposed a more active role of IAMO scientist in policy dialogue with various national ministries.
